In 2020, Chef Thomas Perone got to work on an old school Italian concept, writing ideas in his notebook. It was well received, and through the power of social media and word of mouth, Brooklyn Roots began to flourish in its original location in Sunset Park. When the 46th and 4th location had to close unexpectedly, Chef Thomas called a group of people he always knew there was something special about.
Roots set in Brooklyn
From the beginning, there was only one place Chef Thomas wanted to bring Roots to—to where it belonged from the start. He had a strong feeling he would end up working with the guys from 87th and 3rd, and always knew that Brooklyn Roots belonged between Kettle Black Bar and Ho’Brah taco joint.
Tuscany Grill had an amazing run of 29 years, and Brooklyn Roots is honored to take over the space with a passionate and like-minded team. Today, Alan, JP, Dave, Big Joe, Erik, and Thomas are proud to provide a quality dining experience with the freshest ingredients and a love of the industry.
